Healthy Dining Programme

Healthy Dining Programme is a project conducted by the Health Promotion Centre, Ministry of Health in order to increase knowledge about healthier choice food and increase accessibility and availability to healthy food choices in the country. It is a win-win situation programme in which, it will also indirectly teach people about the importance of healthy eating through the provision of healthier choices in the menu. This programme an also be customised to meet the needs of the restaurants in providing healthier meu and to help the community to access healthier food choices more easily.

Overview

For any restaurants who wish to apply for this programme, they must meet certain standards developed by the Ministry of Health.

For participating restaurants in the Healthy Dining Programme, they will be given a Healthier Choice Logo (shown below) to be affixed on the selected healthier menu as a healthier option indicator.

NCD Campaign 2020: Healthy Dining Partners Dine-In To Win Contest

In conjunction with HPC's NCD Campaign, for each customer who select a Healthy Choice Menu item in any of our Healthy Dining Partners (HDP) will be given a stamp card to be entitled to Dine-In To Win contest.

How to Participate:

Collect all 12 stamps / initials
Provide proof of receipt at any HDP and choosing a Healthy Choice Menu item
To gain additional chance of the contest, you can get more stamp cards and completing Step 1 & 2
Please drop your completed stamp card(s) and receipts to the last HDP restaurant you visited or drop it at Health Promotion Centre, Commonwealth Drive

The Dine-In To Win Contest Period: 1st October - 31st December 2020

There will be 10 winners to be selected with the chance of winning a Grand Prize, 2nd prize, 3rd prize and Consolation Prizes with total worth of $1000!

Logo

The Healthier Choice Logo is a subset of the Healthier Choice Initiative along with the Healthy Supermarket Programme and the Healthy Dining Programme which is conducted by the Health Promotion Centre to promote healthier food choices in our environment.

This logo was introduced in February 2017 which can be awarded to pre-packaged foods and drinks for complying with the Nutrient Criteria of Foods and Beverages with the Healthier Choice Logo. It’s also used for healthier menu options in restaurants and cafes that are participating in the Healthy Dining Programme to showcase those dining out which dishes or drinks are healthier.

The logo can is on local and imported products, therefore any manufacturers, suppliers, distributors or importers will be able to apply for the logo.
